Wānaka A&P Show

The Wānaka A&P Show transforms both the Wānaka Showgrounds and Pembroke Park into two days of non-stop rural celebration and family entertainment. This prestigious show features comprehensive equestrian competitions including show jumping, showing classes, and mounted games. Livestock judging showcases the finest sheep, cattle, and alpacas from across the region. The home industries pavilion displays exceptional baking, preserves, handicrafts, photography, and garden produce. Shearing and woolhandling competitions draw top competitors, while sheep dog trials demonstrate working dogs at their finest. Trade sites and machinery displays span over 150 exhibitors. Family entertainment includes carnival rides, food trucks, live music, children's activities, and the crowd-favorite Jack Russell races (always hilarious!). The Grand Parade is a spectacular highlight.
